Our Programs
We offer a variety of programs, classes, and learning opportunities.
While basic writing skills can be improved through our tutor service, we also have writing workshops and a writing club.
Basic math skills as well as financial literacy are important to all people. We offer tutoring, workshops, and class series on various numeracy topics.
Our agricultural literacy classes use gardening and small scale (backyard) food production as a tool to learn about where our food comes from. It's purpose is to help each student improve their ability to learn and live a more productive life.
Computer skills are ever more important in the world we live in. We offer Computer classes to provide basic skills and help individuals connect.
Through the use of Zoom, we also offer 1-on-1 tutoring and virtual attendance to certain classes.
Many individuals in our community come from other countries. Not everyone is a native English speaker. We offer individual tutoring and class settings to help with English Language Learning (ELL) and citizenship.
Thinking out of the box to learn skills that help us interact with others in and out of the workplace, we incorporate tools such as theater, public speaking, and even tabletop role playing games.
Skills for the workplace are vital to our community. We offer workshops and class series for many skills including resume writing, interview preparation, and more.
